My name is Mel Kinsman.  I am a professional makeup artist and have been working successfully in the film, TV and photographic industry for over 20 years.  Work has included commercials, short films, music videos, TV and the odd stint on some of the soaps!

I have also worked on Celebrity Portrait assignments for magazines such as Tatler, Vanity Fair, Hello! Magazine, Empire magazine and The Mail on Sunday ‘You’ magazine and continue to work as Celebrity Designer and Entrepreneur, Kelly Hoppen’s,  preferred makeup artist on a regular basis for all publicity shoots and TV appearances.

My bridal business is my passion though, and it is my priority.  It has been going from strength to strength over the last 15 years and I have transformed over 1000 Brides not to mention the amount of wonderful mums and bridesmaids.  To stay ahead of bridal trends, I like to work alongside other suppliers and photographers in the industry and work on shoots for Bridal Magazines and Wedding Blogs.  The number of other professionals that I have met along the way has given me such a great network of respected suppliers that I trust implicitly and can be called upon should any of my clients need them.

 If hairstyling is required, I can team up with a few hand-picked colleagues that I know well and have worked alongside over many years.  Some supply purely hairdressing services and others do both skills but are happy to work alongside me creating wonderful hair for my brides and their bridal party. I have a list of supplier’s links but only those that solely do hair will be listed CLICK HERE.  For other suggestions amongst my very clever colleagues who are both hair and makeup artists, please ask for referrals as I do not list them openly on my website (for obvious reasons – being that they do makeup as well) and I can give availability, choose the right artists for the style that you are looking for plus point you in the right direction by choosing by location if necessary.  Where possible, I can arrange hair and makeup trials to take place together.

Now that I’ve moved from London to the borders of Surrey/West Sussex, I am happy to cover most areas in the South East and West of the UK including London. I also cover international locations especially for bridal clients who wish to have a destination wedding.  I tend to specialise in weddings in France, mainly, as I used to have a second home in Provence and know most areas of the country as well as speaking the language.  Bridal shoots abroad have included the stunning Italian Lakes, the isles of Sicily and back over in my beloved France (Provence and Paris).  Weddings in France have covered The Loire Valley, The North in Normandy, The South West and South East of France.
