As previously mentioned, I decided to add bridal make-up and hair to my repertoire about 7 years ago. I have found this aspect of my work very rewarding and have felt great joy at seeing my brides so radiant on their special day.

My bridal make-up and hair service is tailor made for each client. Some prefer just make-up and some like to have both. In each case, I like to talk through their requirements firstly on the ‘phone, then an appointment is made to see them for the trial. I am flexible with trial appointments, realising that time cannot always be booked off from work in a lot of cases.
Both hair and make-up trials can be arranged for the same day, but also, it is possible to book them separately. This is always a good idea if the client has a function to go to and would perhaps like to see how the make-up stands up to an evening of fun and frolics! Trials are usually done in the client’s own home, but are perfectly OK to be done at their parents house for example, as this is where they’ll be getting ready on the day, or in my own home. Trials usually last about 1 ½ to 2 hours for make-up or hair only and about 3 to 3 ½ hours for both.
After everything has been agreed upon, a colour chart is then sent to each client with products names in case you wish to show anyone before the big day, or purchase anything that you particularly like for your honeymoon. All make-up will be supplied by myself, except for the lip colour, which I’m happy to get for clients, but must be reimbursed for on the wedding day. This is the only thing that will require touch-ups during the day.
A week before the big day, I call my clients to make sure that any previously discussed timing issues remain the same, or if there are any changes in numbers of the bridal party who require hair and make-up. Any outstanding payments are pointed out and then really that is it.
On the day of the wedding, I make sure that I arrive with plenty of extra time to set up. If there are the two of us, normally we set up in two separate areas for larger parties, so that everything flows smoothly. I make sure that I’m available to help with any fitting of the veil or buttoning up the dress if necessary! Although normally there is always a family member on standby to do this.

All areas of London and the M25 are covered. Also some areas surrounding London, within 50 or 60 miles from central London, covering some areas of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hampshire, Kent, Middlesex, Surrey, and E & W Sussex which may be subject to travel costs. Arrangements can, however, be made to travel by rail to other areas, or accommodation to be provided for further destinations.

Full payment for both make-up and hair for the bride only is to be made on completion of a satisfactory trial. We do not leave until you are totally happy. Otherwise a second trial can be arranged and payment can be deferred until then. Any outstanding amount for products or for other family members needing this service, can be settled up on the wedding day. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or internet banking (by arrangement).
A deposit is required in some cases. This is usually if the wedding takes place at the most popular times of the year – June to September. It would also be required if the wedding is to be more than 6 months away. 50% of the deposit is refundable, should you have to change your wedding plans and if these changes take place up to eight weeks before the wedding. Otherwise it is non-refundable.
